Fasting for the U.S. Hikers in Iran
Today is a day of solidarity. Two mother’s sons have been falsely imprisoned for 647 days.
I am the mother of two sons and would hope and pray American citizens and people around the world would reach out in a show of support if my children needed help just as the U.S. Hikers in Iran need our help still today.
So in solidarity for Josh Fattal and Shane Bauer still being held in Tehran’s Evin Prison for almost 2 years now, I like many others around the world, will be fasting from May 9th-11th leading up to their second trial this week. Please join us to raise awareness of this injustice in any way you can. People will be fasting in many different ways-from juice fasts to simply giving up coffee for three days. I will be giving up food for the next three days.
If you cannot fast, then spread the word to everyone you know, tell everyone about Josh and Shane’s story and ask them to join your voice calling that they be released now.
